February 14, 2021
It began snowing hard the morning of Sunday, February 14, and it's been snowing off and on ever singe.

During a break in the weather, we took our usual neighborhood walk, up and over Boston Hill.

From the summit, there were wonderful views of snow-covered peaks and the play of light and shadow on the town.

We also stumbled across what appears to be an old amethyst mine.

A little "digging" indicates that amethyst DOES occur in the Boston Hill area. How interesting!
