"You Be Thelma, I'll Be Louise"

September 24-30, 2016

Two women, a truck, 2000 miles and credit cards. And no way were we going through Texas!

Getting loaded in Cleveland.

Good-bye to the house where Susan grew up.

Three states, +400 miles and, most importantly, Chicago, behind us. Tired and happy in Oglesby, Illinois.

Our truck, nicknamed "Cammy" (short for "camion"), reflected in a very shiny semi.

Central Iowa according to the Iowa Flood Information System the day we arrived. We narrowly missed a major storm!
Walleye dinner at the Ronneburg Restaurant in Amana, Iowa.
A bottle of wine to help us get through that night's presidential debate.
At a filling station is Oglesby, we encountered the Nutmobile, home to three enthusiastic young ambassadors for Planters Peanuts.
Posing with "Cammy". She's big, she's bad, and she's a little rough around the edges, but she'll get us there!
We squeezed in a visit to my sister Jan in Hastings, Nebraska, including a fabulous dinner at the Odyssey.
Gettin' down in Funk, Nebraska.
OMG a great coffee shop in Colby, Kansas!
Thunderstorm in Mesilla, New Mexico. Welcome back to the desert!
